These Terms of Service are available in multiple languages. This Canadian English (en-CA) version is the original and governing text. Translations are provided for the convenience and accessibility of readers.

In the event of any inconsistency between this version and a translated version, this Canadian English (en-CA) version shall prevail.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of authentic-self-care.com (the “Website”). The Website is operated by me, David Lalos, a private individual based in Norway.

The Website includes Authentic Self-Care, my music, and other content made available through the Website.

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Website.

Nothing in these Terms of Service limits any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Authentic Self-Care

Authentic Self-Care is an exercise in self-care and personal reflection. It invites you to use certain physical positions and ask yourself questions. The questions do not prescribe answers, decisions, or actions.

Authentic Self-Care and the other content on the Website are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for advice or care from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

No particular result or benefit is promised or guaranteed.

You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use the exercise. Follow the instructions concerning comfort, adjust the positions as needed, and stop using a position if you feel uncomfortable. If you have concerns about whether any physical position is appropriate for you, seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Personal Use of the Website

You may access and use the Website and its content for your own private, non-commercial purposes.

You may save or print written material from the Website for your own private, non-commercial use.

These permissions are personal to you. They do not transfer ownership of the Website or its content or grant any rights beyond those expressly stated in these Terms of Service or provided by applicable law.

Music

You may listen to the music made available on the Website for your own private, non-commercial use.

Where technically possible, you may also make or retain a local copy of the music for your own private, non-commercial listening.

This permission does not include permission to share or distribute music files to other people, upload or republish the music elsewhere, sell or license it, broadcast it, play it for a group or audience, or incorporate it into a video, recording, artwork, presentation, application, or other project.

It also does not include permission to remix, sample, adapt, or otherwise modify the music for redistribution or use in another work.

If you wish to use the music beyond your own private, non-commercial listening, please request permission in advance at contact@authentic-self-care.com.

Nothing in this section restricts a use that applicable law permits and that cannot lawfully be restricted by agreement.

Intellectual Property

The Website and its original content, including its written material, musical compositions, and sound recordings, are protected by copyright and related rights.

Except for the limited permissions expressly granted in these Terms of Service, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law, no right, title, licence, or ownership interest in the Website or its content is transferred to you.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, commercially exploit, or otherwise use protected content beyond the permissions granted in these Terms of Service without prior permission.

No permission is granted for automated analysis, text and data mining, scraping for the purpose of reproducing or analysing protected content, or the training or development of artificial intelligence systems, except as permitted by applicable law.

Donations

Authentic Self-Care is available without an upfront payment, and my music is as well.

Donations are voluntary, self-determined payments that may reflect the value you believe the Website content or music has had for you. You decide whether to make a donation and, if you do, the amount is entirely for you to determine.

You are not required to make a donation in order to access the Website, Authentic Self-Care, or the music. Making a donation does not unlock additional content, create preferential access, or grant additional ownership, copyright, licensing, or usage rights.

Donations are made externally through PayPal and are subject to the terms, technical requirements, and payment processes applicable to PayPal.

I am not a charitable organization and do not represent that donations made through the Website are charitable contributions or are eligible for any tax deduction.

Refunds

I do not offer a general contractual right to a refund of voluntary donations.

I may nevertheless choose to refund a donation at my discretion. Providing a refund in one case does not create an obligation to provide refunds in other cases.

Nothing in this section affects any refund or other right that you may have under applicable law and that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You must not use the Website in a way that is unlawful or that infringes the rights of another person.

Availability and Changes to the Website

I may change, update, remove, replace, or discontinue any part of the Website or its content, including Authentic Self-Care and the music.

I do not guarantee that the Website or any particular content will remain available indefinitely or that access will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

A donation does not create a right to continued availability of any particular content or version of the Website.

Third-Party Services and Links

The Website may contain links to or use services provided by third parties, including PayPal.

Third-party websites and services operate independently and may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. I do not control their content, availability, security, or practices.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, I am not responsible for loss or damage arising solely from your use of an independent third-party website or service.
